Occupational Health & Safety General OHS Induction Course for the Construction Industry WorkCover NSW Accredited "Green Card / White Card" (Note that new new cards issued are now "White") This 6 hour course provides participants with information about preventing workplace injury and illness, injury management and workers compensation for NSW. OH&S induction training in the construction industry is required under the WorkCover OHS Regulation 2001 Chapter 213,214 & 215. Allowing a person to commence work at a building or construction site without OH&S Induction training carries a maximum penalty of 100 penalty units. ($11,000) WSC runs both on-site and public courses (see our course dates schedule). Public courses run every week at St Marys NSW. (ample free parking and close to Rail station) Private and On Site Courses require a minimum 7 days notice to WorkCover NSW. Phone 02 9833 7500 for details

Topics Include: Implementing Health & Safety for the workplace Hazard identification Workplace Emergencies and First Aid Consultation and Communication in OH&S Identifying Signs Workplace Injury Management This course is provided for: Workers on construction sites Apprentices & trainees Work experience students Managers & supervisors Principle contractors Persons who need to attend work sites on a regular basis WorkCover NSW Accredited Course Important Notes and changes to course administration: To undergo the training applicants must be at least 14 years of age.
Under WorkCover NSW requirements participants will need to show 100 points Proof of Identity (including Photo ID) to the trainer prior to commencing this course. See details below.

As participants successfully complete the course a Statement of Training will be issued. This SOT certificate is valid for 30 days. This certificate should be kept as evidence of training. Participants will be required to complete an application for a Construction Induction Certificate which will be sent to WorkCover for issue of the wallet size card. This card should be received within 30 days by the applicant at the address given on the request form. Key Benefits
