AS/NS-3760 (in Service Safety Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment).

CZ5500 Patrol ACE

Earth Leakage Current Measurement

 

The Aegis Patrol ACE offers a quick, simple

and easy Leakage Current Measurement test.

Electrical appliances which cannot be tested by the DC method (250 or 500V Insulation Resistance Test) can be checked with the Patrol Ace to ensure the requirements of AS/NZS3760-2003 are met for electrical safety.

This product is the ideal companion for the Patrol CZ5000.

WorkCover OH&S Regulation 2001 Section 64

All electrical articles, installations and associated equipment at a place of work have to be safe to use and are regularly inspected, tested and maintained to ensure they are safe for use.

 WorkCover OH&S Regulation 2001 Section 65

A record must be made of all electrical inspections, tests and maintenance.

Penalty of non-compliance: $3,300

 Regular Safety Testing and Tagging of electrical equipment ensures compliance with the Australian Standards (3760) and WorkCover Code of Practice (Electrical) as well as protecting the health and welfare of employees and other people at the place of work.

Electrical testing & tagging applies to all industries (any place of work) and includes electrical leads, power tools, appliances & computer equipment used in the office, kitchen, workshop, factory, laboratory or amenities rooms.

Places of work that are deemed to be building or construction sites (defined in Chapter 1 (3) of the WorkCover OHS Regulation 2001) have special requirements for the testing and tagging of electrical equipment at monthly intervals.
