Traffic Control Training
This course enables participants to learn about the use of the Stop / Slow Bat.
At the completion, successful participants will receive a certificate of training and a laminated photo card usually referred to as:
Blue Card (Work Activity Training using a Stop Slow Bat in the construction or non construction industry) eg road works, building sites
Grey Card (Work Activity Training using a Stop Slow Bat only in the non-construction industry) eg event management, car parks, security, clubs, logistics and warehousing.
This will enable the holder to undertake work involving traffic control using bats or night wand, and to use radio communication with other team members.
The RTA NSW Traffic Control Photo Card is valid for 3 years from date of training.
Note: From Nov 1, 2006, new applicants for RTA traffic control qualifications are required to hold, or have held, a drivers licence (min green "p")
The NSW RTA can provide a transcript for applicants who no longer possess their NSW drivers licence.
People who have previously held a traffic controllers certificate can re-apply without the need to show a drivers licence provided their certificate is current or has not expired by more than 2 years.
